Our team provided FEA and verification of support structure for an agitator installation referencing ASME BPV code.
These standards test pressure vessel design for protection from cyclic loading failure, collapse from
buckling, local failures, and collapse from plastic properties.
The proposed support structure for the agitator passed all criteria for the ASME BPV code. We conduced FEA analysis along with calculations under the vessel code to validate the support structure provides enough support.
Working with our client, and based on the parameters, the calculations validated the support based on load conditions and we were able to provide the P.E. stamp for this engineering project deliverable.
