We designed this pallet conveyor to lift pallets up to 3000#.
The elevator sits in front of an automated storage and retrieval system and is up to 90 feet tall.
The scissors extend to pick up the pallet then retract as the pallet is lifted to the desired level.
The turret rotates 90 degrees in two directions to place the pallet onto a waiting robot transporter.
The transporter then takes the pallet into the storage system where it places the pallet in a slot to return to the elevator staging area.
Just to scale this thing, the main shaft of the elevator is a 12″ x 20″ x 1/2″ wall thickness rectangular tube.
The forks on the elevator are normal fork lift forks. This thing is big and fast.
We designed the motors and other components for a 30 minute swap out for quick maintenance.
This design was accomplished in less than 5 months.
